For more information on road construction and conditions around the State please go to the Colorado Department of Transportation website (CDOT).

The following major routes have "No Winter Maintenance" during the winter months. Winter activities such as snowmobiling are very popular along these roads:

Road 8, North Fork from mile post 30.5 east to the county line.
Road 17, Buford-New Castle from mile post 40.3 south to the county line.

We attempt opening these roads around Memorial Day, however the exact date depends upon winter snow and ice accumulations.

We have many other sections of roads in remote areas that are not plowed in the winter. If you have a question on a particular road, please call us at (970) 878-9590.
